What is Translocal?

A Sweden based art project...

One of the priority of Translocal is to operate with an open collaborative structure and without a fixed and regular physical location.

Another goal is to be connected to society and to be a critical part of whatever discourses are going on.

Translocal face the fact of a nomadic situation and invent an art project that intervenes in the world and by extension, in the contemporary art production.

Translocal is an innovative experiment with mobility, flexibility and the transformation of precariusness.

The displacement of Translocal allows audiences to see, experience and explore art from another view points.

This kind of unconventional art space project would find its natural environment in a nomadic situation; In the looking for transition Translocal is open to occupy any vacant space.

In others words, what is an experimental way of working in one context, become a solution in the serch for a model of mobile space.

Translocal´s transitory strategy will set up projects and exhibitions in a diverse range of places, according to their specific needs: in art institutions, citys and ellswhere.

The audience of the project.

Translocal trying to adress different kinds of people with different kinds of background, information and experiencies.

The Translocal Art Space project is gone be officially found on July 02, 2005 on the occasion of the international "Postcolonial Situation" group exhibition on the Möllevången´s shopping center "Leonard" of Malmö Sweden. This group exhibition will be the inauguration of Translocal´s agenda.
